The story

In 2019, church leaders in Hong Kong collaborated for a common experience they called “ONE” during the 40 days leading up to Easter (also known as Lent). Three-hundred churches joined the uniting experience with a simple goal: saturate their city with the good news of Jesus! 

For six weeks, using a Bible listening app, thousands of people listened to the entire Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts. The experience resulted in countless testimonies of life transformations and many coming to know Jesus as their personal savior! 

Encouraged by what God did through this simple experience, the Hong Kong churches decided to make ONE an annual event. 

As the ONE initiative continues to move foward, churches in Kansas City joined the effort expanding ONE to the United States. As city leaders worked to grow and build the initiative in their own cities, word spread. When all was said and done, churches in 32 cities in different countries joined ONE! 

Leveraging resources developed by Faith Comes by Hearing, participants heard the Word of God in their own heart language – some for the first time, ever!  

In 2024, we are trusting God for an even greater response, reaching new cities, new churches, and new people who’ve never heard the good news.
